Meet the Chef Behind the Experience

At Jewell's Jamzz, we believe the best gatherings begin around the table.

Whether it's an intimate dinner with family, a beautifully styled wedding reception, a weekend retreat with friends, or a thoughtfully stocked Airbnb kitchen, every experience we create is designed to help people slow down, connect, and savor the moment.

I'm Jewell Vold—chef, owner, and the heart behind Jewell's Jamzz.

My culinary journey began nearly two decades ago and was shaped through the Johnson County Community College Chef Apprenticeship Program, a degree in Food & Beverage Management, and years spent in professional kitchens. As a former member of the American Culinary Federation, I developed a deep appreciation for classic technique, thoughtful presentation, and exceptional hospitality.

But somewhere along the way, I realized that my favorite part of cooking wasn't simply preparing food.

It was watching what happened because of it.

A grandmother sharing recipes with her grandchildren.

Friends lingering around a grazing table long after dinner should have ended.

A bride taking in her reception for the very first time.

A family on vacation gathering around breakfast before spending the day together.

Those are the moments that matter.

Today, Jewell's Jamzz has grown into a boutique catering company specializing in elevated grazing experiences, chef-prepared meals, handcrafted preserves, and custom culinary offerings for weddings, celebrations, retreats, and corporate events throughout the Kansas City area.

Every menu is created with intention.

Every table is styled with care.

Every jar of jam is still handcrafted in small batches.

Because I believe luxury isn't about excess.

It's about thoughtful details, genuine hospitality, and making every guest feel welcome.

One of the things that means the most to me is creating food that everyone can enjoy. Jewell's Jamzz proudly offers allergy-conscious catering, thoughtfully accommodating a variety of dietary needs without sacrificing flavor, creativity, or presentation. I believe no guest should feel like an afterthought.
